Heorhii began his career at Metalist Kharkiv, joining the Shakhtar Academy in 2017. In the 2018/19 season, he played for Shakhtar U19, becoming the domestic Champion with Shakhtar U17 and being recognized as the best player in the DUFLU final tournament. He took part in the UEFA Youth League for two seasons in a row and scored a goal in an away match vs Atalanta U19.
Being in the U21 squad since 2019, in the 2020/21 season Sudakov became its captain and scored four goals in four games. In October 2020, he made his first-team debut, coming on as a substitute in the UEFA Champions League match against Real in Madrid. The same month, he netted a goal against Mariupol in the UPL. Heorhii is a player of Ukraine U21.
Sudakov is a skilful midfielder with excellent pitch vision, passing culture and shooting. He is versatile and can operate in midfield, as a wide forward or behind the striker.
