What sets size 3 footballs apart?

Size 3 footballs differ significantly from standard adult equipment and feature unique design characteristics developed specifically for children’s biomechanics.

Dimensions and weight: the circumference is only 58–61 cm (by comparison, a size 5 adult ball measures 68–70 cm). The weight ranges between 310–340 g (standard models: 410–450 g).
Target age group: size 3 footballs are designed for children under 8 years old (U6, U7, U8 categories). They are widely used in youth football academies, training schools and preschool programmes to introduce the basic elements of the game.
Development of proper technique: a smaller ball makes it significantly easier for young players to learn dribbling, control and passing when the equipment is proportionate to their height and foot size.
