The Shakhtar Academy graduate played for the teams of every age category in DUFL, junior and youth squad of the Miners. He played in the UEFA Youth League already in 16 years old. From 2020 to 2022, Oleh has played in Mariupol (30 apps, 3 goals, 2 assists) on loan. He made his first-team debut for Shakhtar in the UPL match on August 23, 2022.
Since 2019, he has regularly played for Ukraine U19 and U21.
Oleh Ocheretko plays as a right attacking midfielder, but can also close any other attacking position. He has high pace and great skills, can provide good assists and finish attacks with his excellent shooting.
