Giorgi is a graduate of Georgian Saburtalo where he has played for the main team from 2020 to 2022 (85 appearances, 8 goals). He was a Georgia U21 player. On November, 2022, Giorgi made his debut for Georgia national team.
On January 1, 2023, Gocholeishvili became a Shakhtar footballer, singing the five-year contract with the club.
