Bio & Career
Valerii is a Shakhtar Academy graduate. He has been at Shakhtar since 2007. He twice won the Children & Youth Football League title - in 2013 (as the Player of the Tournament) and in 2014.
On May 4, 2019, he debuted for Shakhtar senior team in the Premier League game vs Lviv (5-0). He was the captain of Ukraine U20 who won the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland.
Valerii is a competent and reliable central defender who is also experienced in midfield. He is uncompromising in challenges for the ball, providing a great first pass.
