Luca Meirelles is a graduate of the Santos Academy, where he played for the youth teams from 2018. He made 25 appearances for Santos U20 (14 goals, 1 assists). In June 2023, Luca signed his first professional contract with the club, making his debut for the senior team in a Série B match against Regatas Brasil on November 17, 2024. In total, the forward played 17 games for Santos’ first-team squad. He is a Brazilian Série B champion (2024). In August 2025, he was called up to Brazil U20. On
August 28, 2025, Luca Meirelles became a Shakhtar player, signing a 5-year contract with the club. He plays as a centre forward.
He has good anthropometry, is strong in challenges and boasts a well-struck shot. A forward with goal-scoring flair and excellent finishing.
