He started playing professionally at Brazilian club Artsul (2021–2022), then he played for Vasco da Gama (2022–2023), where he made 29 apps and scored 3 goals for the main team. He participated in the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup with Brazil U20.
On July 31, 2023, he became a Shakhtar player, signing a five-year contract.
He plays as a winger. Eguinaldo is a fast and skilful player with excellent pitch vision and quality pass. He is useful in cooperating with the teammates and effective in attack finishing.
